Winchester Trout Unlimited (TU) will demonstrate the connection to aquatic ecosystems, conservation of cold-water fish by protecting watersheds and stream restoration at The Gathering Oct. 30 during Kidz Harvest Fest. Look for TU with Project Healing Waters, a program designed to help military veterans use fly-fishing to cope with PTSD.

The Lloyd Williams Post 41 in Berryville Virgina donated $100 to support the Native American Women Warriors (NAWW) Honor Guard for The Gathering scheduled for Oct. 30 - Nov. 1 at the Clarke County Fairgrounds located at 890 West Main Street Berryville, VA 22611. NAWW founder Mitchelene BigMan is flying in for The Gathering and staying in Winchester Va. Other female veterans are also coming to join her. The Women Warriors wear full jingle-dress regalia to present the colors at the Grand Entry - opening this historical traditional Harvest Dance on Saturday Oct. 31 (at noon) and Sunday Nov. 1 (at 1:00 pm). | This is an exciting multi-cultural event in our community and we hope many of our members will be able to attend." |

Who wants to help? 50 more volunteers are needed to help plant this all exciting seed of possibilities called, "The Gathering."
Dennis Banks attended the volunteer meeting last Friday Oct. 16 at the Aloft Hotel in Winchester. We had a pot luck, Mr. Banks sang songs and autographed his book, CDs and DVDs. | The Gathering is an educational, celebration of agri-culture featuring a traditional Native American Harvest Dance, 14th Annual Virginia Gourd Festival, 64 vendors and exhibitors, 45 gourd classes, food, fun and fellowship and much, much more at the Clarke County Fairgrounds located at 890 West Main Street Berryville, VA 22611 on Oct. 30 - Nov. 1.
