"Thanks Director Benjamin Friton and Bushcraft Master and brother Jason Drevenak for inviting me to participate and for the many others who help facilitate the event to include Kypriana Lala. Special thank you to my 11 students and about 15 onlookers. My apologies for the many others I had to turn down because I didn't have enough gourds ready," said Rene' Locklear White.

"Watching someone hear their own rattle for the first time was great medicine yesterday!" said Rene' Locklear White, co-founder of the Native American non-profit Sanctuary on the Trail. "Thanks for inviting me to teach a gourd rattle workshop yesterday at the 1st Annual MountainCraft Music Gathering at the REED Center for Ecosystem Reintegration."
This 4 day family-friendly festival featured primitive skills and Bushcraft workshops, inspirational benefit concerts, community building and land honoring. Set in the Appalachian Foothills on 150 acres of protected woodland. The event is sponsored by the REED Center for Ecosystem Reintegration, Benjamin Friton, Director, Toni Grace, Jason Drevenak, Crysta Bliss, Kypriana Lala and others.
